- S. 1( I ) This Act may be called the Orissa Essential Services (Maintenance) exrcnt and Act, 1988
- S. 2Section 2 defines "essential service" and "strike" for the Odisha Essential Services (Maintenance) Act, 1988.
- S. 3Section 3 allows the State Government to prohibit strikes in essential services for up to a year if deemed necessary for public interest.
