(1) The admission procedure shall be in accordance with the norms and guidelines prescribed by the concerned Regulatory Body, depending on the course in which students seek admission. (2) In absence of the guidelines under sub-section (1), admission in the University shall be made strictly on the basis of merit. (3) Merit for admission in the University may be determined on the basis of marks or grade obtained in the qualifying examination and achievements in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities and on the basis of marks or grade obtained in the entrance test conducted at State or National level either by an association of the Universities conducting similar courses or by any agency of the State. (4) Special weightage shall be given to Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, girl students and other categories of student with respect to admission to various courses of the University as per the stipulation of reservation policies of the State Government or Government of India. (5) Admission procedures for foreign students or NRIs shall be in accordance with the norms and guidelines prescribed by the Regulatory Bodies. Fee Structure. 36.(1) The University may, from time to time, prepare its fee structure in accordance with the norms and guidelines prescribed 28 by the Regulatory Bodies depending on the course to which the students seek admission. (2) The University shall not charge any fees, by whatsoever name called, other than for which it is entitled under the provisions of sub-section (1). (3) The University shall implement a Scheme for providing concession in fees payable to the University by the students belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes community, Economically Weaker Sections and women from the State of Odisha.
