(1) The Board of Management shall consist of the following members, namely: — (p) the Vice-Chancellor of the University who shall be the ex officio Chairman; (q) the Registrar of the University who shall be the ex officio Secretary; (r) the Finance Officer of the University; (s) two members of the Board of Governors, nominated by the Sponsoring Body; (t) three deans of the University; and (u) two Professors of the University. (2) The powers and functions of the Board of Management shall be such, as may be prescribed. (3) The term of office of the members other than the ex officio members shall be three years. 24.(1) The Academic Council shall consist of the following members, namely:- (v) the Vice-Chancellor of the University who shall be the ex officio Chairman. (w) the Registrar of the University who shall be the Secretary; and (x) such other members as may be nominated by the Board of Governors. (2) The Academic Council shall be the principal academic body of the University and shall, subject to the provisions of this Act, the Statutes and the Rules, co-ordinate and 23 exercise general supervision over the academic policies of the University and shall exercise such other powers and perform such other functions as may be prescribed.
