Power to acquire protected area. - If the State Government are of opinion that a protected area contains an ancient monument or such other objects of archaeological, historical or artistic interest and also of national interest and value, they may acquire such area, or any part thereof under the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act, 1 of 1894, as for public purpose.
