Every tenant holding under an unexpired lease, or having a right of occupancy, who is in occupation of any land at the time when any stoppage or diminution of water-supply, in respect of which compensation is allowed under section 8, takes place, may claim an abatement of the r ent previously payable by him for the said land, on the ground that the interruption reduces the value of the holding. STATE AMENDMENT Uttar Pradesh Amendment of section 11 of Act XVII of 1878 .— In section 11 of the Northern India Ferries Act, 1878, for the words “one month’s thin” the word “three months” shall be substituted.
