In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,-- (a) "Act" means the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986); (b) "Authority" means the National Environment Appellate Authority established under sub-section (1) of section 3; (c) "Chairperson" means the Chairperson of the Authority; (d) "Member" means a Member of the Authority; (e) "prescribed" means prescribed by rules made under this Act; (f) "Vice-Chairperson" means the Vice-Chairperson of the Authority.
