(1) The National Anti-Doping Agency, established as a society and functioning as such, prior to the coming into force of this Act, is hereby constituted a body corporate by the same name, and as such body corporate, it shall have perpetual succession and a common seal with power, subject to the provisions of this Act, to acquire, hold and dispose of property, both movable and immovable, and to contract, and shall, by that name, sue and be sued. (2) The Head Office of the Agency shall be at New Delhi. (3) The Agency shall be headed by an officer designated as the Director General to be appointed by the Central Government: Provided that the Director General appointed prior to the commencement of this Act and holding the office as such, shall be deemed to have been appointed as the Director General under this Act. (4) The Central Government shall, in consultation with the Board and the Director General, determine the number, nature and categories of officers and other staff required to assist the Agency in the discharge of its function and provide the Agency with such officers and employees as it may deem fit. (5) The salaries and allowances payable to, and other terms and conditions of service of, the Director General, officers, and other staff of the Agency shall be such as may be prescribed. (6) The power to oversee the activities of the Agency shall vest in the Board.
