Term of office of nominated member of council and nominee. 1) Save as otherwise provided in this Act, elected members shall hold office for a termof five years from the date of fist meeting of Council Provided that the members nominated under proviso to clause (c.1) of sub-section (1) of section4 shall hold office till the elected members have entered their offices, and the members so elected shall continue in the office for the unexpired term of nominated members under clauses B (I) to (4) of Sub- section (1) of Section 4. 2) Notwithstanding the expiration of the term specified under sub-section (I) the outgoing member shall continued in office till the nomination or elections, as the case may be, of his successor.
