Powers of police to investigate offences under section 24. Notwithstanding the provision contained in the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973 (2 of 1974) any Police officer may investigate without the order of a Magistrate into an offence under section 25 as if, it were a cognizable case, but be shall not arrest without warrant from a Magistrate any person accused of an offence under section 25.
