Electoral Registration Officers: (1) The Electoral roll for each ward shall be prepared and revised by an electoral officer who shall be such officer of the Government or Municipal Council or Town Council as the State Election Commission may, in consultation with the Government, designate or nominate on this behalf. (2) To assist the electoral registration officer in discharge of his function under sub- section (1). the State Election Commissioner may employ such person as it thinks fit. 17
