Election for filling up the vacancy of the offices of the Chairperson! Deputy Chairperson: (1) Election for filling up the vacancy of the offices of the Chairperson or Deputy Chairperson shall be held where a Chairperson! deputy Chairperson: (a) Resigns from his office or (b) ceases to be a member or (c) is removed from office by motion of no confidence or is removed from office by the Government (2) A person removed from office of Chairperson or Deputy Chairperson by the Government under section 17 shall not be eligible for re-election during the duration of the Municipal Council.
