Review of Act. That the Act shall be reviewed periodically after every 10 (ten) years, STATEMENT OF OBJECTS AND REASONS After two decades of opposition and upheavals since the introduction of the Nagaland Municipal Act 2001, the State government after having repealed the Nagaland Municipal Act 2001, had finally decided to draft and legislate a new Municipal Act with provision in concurrence with the special provisions as envisaged in Article 371 A of the Constitution of India. Taking into due consideration, the expectations and aspirations of the people of the State, the draft for the new Municipal Act to be known as "The Nagaland Municipal Act, 2023" is hereby proposed through this bill.
