Toll (1) The Municipality may, with the prior sanction of the Government, levy rolls at such rates, as may be specified by the Government, on vehicles, carriages, carts or animals passing through public streets or bridges within the municipal area. 326 (2) For the purposes of collection of tolls under sub-section (1), the Municipality may establish a toll-bar on any public street or on a bridge or at any place within the municipal area adjacent to the bridge at which such tolls may conveniently be collected. (3) The revenue accruing from the tolls shall be credited to the Municipal Fund of the Municipality.
