1) Each subsequent Board shall function for a period of three years from the date of the first meeting of the Board constituted as under sub- Section (2) of Section 3 and the manner of election and nomination of the members of the Board shall be such as may be prescribed. The period of three years referred to in Sub- Section (3) of Section 3 and Sub-section 1 of this Section shall include and shall be deemed always to have included any period which may elapse between the expiry of the said three years and the date of the first meeting of the subsequent Board: provided that such subsequent Board shall sit within forty five days from the day of its constitution. 3) The State Govt may, by notification, for sufficient cause to be stated therein, direct, from time to time, that the term of the Board be extended by such period not exceeding one year at a time as may be specified in the notification: Provided that the total period of such extension shall not exceed two years.
