(1) Persons who are ordinarily residents in the State ofNagaland shall be given preference over others in the matter of recruitment to all posts in the University in the State ofNagaland, subjectto fulfillment ofthe qualifications, terms andother conditions of appointment prescribed inregulations. (2) The Executive Council has a right to relax the qualifications, terms and other conditions of appointmentto various posts in the University in favour of persons who are ordinarily residents in the State ofNagaland without grossly compromising merit.
