Penalty for contravention of Act, Rules and Bye- laws. Any person who contravenes any provision of this Act. or of any Rule or Bye-laws or order issued thereunder shall be punishable with simple imprisonment which may extend to six months or with fine which may extend to five thousand rupees or with both: Provided that in the case of a continuing contravention of the provisions of Section 70, he shall be liable to be punished with a further fine which may extend to two hundred rupees for every day during which the contravention is continued after the first conviction.
