(1) This Act may be called the Mussalman Wakf Act, 1923. [(2) It extends to the whole of India except [the territories which, immediately before the 1st November, 1956, were comprised in Part B States].] (3) This section shall come into force at once; and (4) The [State Government] may, by notification in the [Official Gazette], direct that the remaining provisions of this Act, or any of them which it may specify, shall come into force in the [State], or any specified part thereof, on such date as it may appoint in this behalf.
