Police Districts The State Government, in consultation with the Director General, may, by notification, declare any area within the state to be a Police District. The administration of the police throughout such district shall vest in the Superintendent of Police who may be assisted by as many Additional, Assistant or Deputy Superintendents, as deemed necessary and are notified.
