Repeal and saving.- (1) The Police Act, 1861 in its application to the State of Mizoram is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken or any proceeding instituted under the Act so repealed shall be deemed to have been done or taken or instituted under the corresponding provisions of this Act. (3) All references in any enactment to any of the provisions of the Act so repealed shall be construed as references to the corresponding provisions of this Act.
