Section 3 (1) of the Mizoram (Pension for Members of the De- funct Mizo District Council and of the Defunct Pawi-Lakher Regional Council). Act, 1994 i.e. Grant of Pension to Members shall be substituted by the following : Amendment of Section 3 (1) Short title and commencement : With effect from the date of commencement of this Act and subject to other provisions of the Act, there shall be paid a life-long pension of Rs. 4,500/- (Rupees four thousand five hundred) per month with an annual increment of Rs. 300/- upto a maximum amount of Rs. 8,400/- (Rupess eight thousand and four hundred) to every member who had served as such member for any period whether for five years or less or more”. :
