Solemnization of marriage : (1) The marriage may be solemnized by the Licenced Officer who will include any ordained Minister/Reverend/Pastor/Authorised Elder (Upa)/Commissioned Officer/Priest (Tirhkoh)/ Ordained Priest of Religion according to the rules, rites, ceremonies and custom of the Religion of which he is holding such office. (2) The marriage must be solemnized in the presence of at least two witnesses besides the Licenced Officer who administers solemnization and that the best man and the bridesmaid will be competent witnesses.
