Registrar and other officers : (1) The Council shall, with the previous sanction of the Government, appoint a Registrar from amongst the registered medical practitioners who shall act as Secretary of the Council and also as Treasurer, unless the Council appoints another person as Treasurer. (2) The Council, in consultation with the Government, may also employ such other persons, as it may deem necessary, for the purposes of the Council. (3) All persons appointed or employed under this section shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of S. 21 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. (Act No. 45 of 1860)
