Section 1

(1) This Regulation may be called the Mizoram (Market) (Amendment) Regu- lation, 1996

(1) This Regulation may be called the Mizoram (Market) (Amendment) Regu- lation, 1996. (2) It extents to the whole of the State of Mizoram excluding the areas under the Autonomous Disric Councils of Lai, Mara and Chakma. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Governnment may, by notifi- cation in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf. (c) “Lessee” means settlement holder of a Market including shop and stall for a specified period. (f) “Meat” includes meat generally eaten in Mizoram. (g) “seling rates” means the selling rate of meat and other commodities which are sold by weighment within the area of the Markets. Vol XXV Aizawl, Friday 11.10.1996 Asvina 19. (i) “Market Officer” means any Officer so appointed by the Government for the purpose of this Regulation.
