Punishment for obstruction etc.: Whoever obstructs, assaults or threatened to assault or attempts to obstruct or disobeys any personnel of Excise & Narcotics or Police Department in the discharge of his official duties shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term of not less than three months which may extend to three years and with fine of not less than two thousand rupees which may extend to five thousand rupees.
