Power of investigation, prosecution, procedure for investigation and trial: (1) The State Government may invest any Officer not below the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector of the Excise & Narcotics, the powers of an Officer-in-charge of a Police Station as mentioned in clause (o) of Section 2 of Criminal Procedure Code, 1973 for the purposes of investigation and prosecution of offences under this Act. - 10 - Ex-379/2014 (2) Save as otherwise expressedly provided in this Act, the provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 shall apply to the investigation and trial of offences against this Act
