First Appellate authority Save as otherwise expressly provided, an appeal shall lie from every order passed under this Act:- (1) If such an order is passed by an officer subordinate to the Assistant Settlement Officer, the appellant may prefer appeal to the Settlement Officer. (2) If such an order is passed by the Settlement Officer, the appellant may prefer appeal to the Collector or Director. (3) If such an order is passed by the Collector or the Director, the appellant may prefer appeal to the Revenue Commissioner or Secretary, Revenue Department.
