Amendment of : Section 9 of the Principal Act shall be amended as follows, namely :- Section 9 “9. Exemption from Social Impact Assessment. “Where land is proposed to be purchased under sub-section (1) of section 3 and the rehabilitation and resettlement entitlement is disclaimed by the land holder, or acquired invoking the urgency provisions under section 40, the Government may exempt undertaking of the Social Impact Assessment Study.” Secretary, Law & Judicial Department, Govt. of Mizoram.
