Superintendence and Control of the Fire Force: (1) The Superintendence and control of the force shall be under the general control and supervision of the Director, Fire & Emergency Services and shall be carried on by him in accordance with the provision of this Act and Rules made there under. (2) The State Government may create such posts and appoint such officers as it may deem fit to assist the Director in the discharge of his duties. (3) The Director may with the approval of the State Government delegate any of his power, functions and duties under this Act to such subordinate officer as he may deem fit.
