Powers to invest officers of certain departments with powers of an officer-incharge of a police station The Government may, by notification published in the Official Gazette, invest any officer not below the rank of Inspector of the department of drugs control appointed under Section 21 of Drugs and Cosmetic Act, 1940, and officer not below the rank of Sub Inspector of Excise & Narcotics Department with the powers of an officer-in-charge of a police station for the investigation of offences under this Act.
