Short title, extent and commencement. (1) This act shall be called “The Mizoram Animal Slaughter Act-2013” (2) It shall extend to the whole of the state of Mizoram excluding the areas of the Autonomous District Councils. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the official gazette, appoint and different dates may be appointed for different provision of the Act, or for different areas.
