In this Act (a) autonomous State means the autonomous State of Meghalaya formed under section 3 of the Assam Re-organisation (Meghalaya) Act,1969; (Central Act 55 of 1969). (b) “law” include any enactment, order, bye-law, rule, notification or other instrument having the force of law in the whole or any part of the terrorists comprised within the State of Meghalaya ; and (c) “Meghalaya” means the State of Meghalaya formed under section 5 of the North-Eastern Areas (Re-organisation) Act, 1971.
