Notwithstanding anything contained in any State law for the time being in force, (1) The Government may lay down the procedure for processing and disposal of applications; (2) The timelines for clearances at all levels for all approvals will be notified from time to time; (3) The competent authority may ask for additional information at any time before the expiry of the period stipulated for the disposal of such clearance; (4) After receipt of the additional information, the competent authority shall pass orders on the application before the expiry of the stipulated time from the date of receipt of such additional information; (5) The Government may, by notification, change the prescribed limit from time to time.
