Section 122

Consequence of super session of Board.

Upon publication of the notification superseding a Board under Section 121, the following consequences shall ensue : (i) The Chairman and all the Members of the Board shall, as with effect from the date of publication of the notification, be deemed to have vacated their offices. (ii) The State Government shall direct that steps be taken for constitution of a new Board under this Act and till such time as a new Board under Section 86 is constituted as aforesaid, the State Government shall make such arrangements for carrying out the functions of the Board as it may deem fit, for the period not exceeding six months and may, for that purpose, direct that all the functions, powers and duties of the Board and its Chairman, under this Act, shall be performed, exercised and discharged by such person or authority as the State Government, may appoint in this behalf and such person or authority shall be deemed to be the Board or Chairman, as the case may be.
