(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in any other law for the time being in force, the Meghalaya Ropeway Development Authority may give such directions with regards to the implementation, operation and maintenance of any ropeway and Ropeway Area Development project, as it may deem fit. (2) The Meghalaya Ropeway Development Authority shall so exercise the powers of supervision referred to under this Act as may be necessary to ensure that each ropeway and Ropeway Development Area project is executed in the interest of the overall development of the Ropeway Development Area and in accordance with the approved plan for the Ropeway Development Area.
