(1). Every citizen shall have the right to obtain citizen related services in Meghalaya as notified under sub-section (2) of section 3 of this Act. (2) The State Government may, from time to time, notify the services and the time period within which the services shall be provided, including the Designated Officer who shall provide the service and the Appellate Authority who shall hear appeals in accordance with the provisions of the Act. (3) While computing the stipulated time for providing services, a public or official holiday shall not be counted.
