. (1) This Act may be called the Meghalaya Removal of Restrictions on User and Enjoyment of Land Act, 1981. (2) It shall extend to such areas of Meghalaya as the State Government may, by notification, specify in this behalf. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification, appoint and different dates may be appointed for different areas of the State.
