(1) No Games of Skills or Games of Chance, involving betting or wagering of money or money's worth, shall be played, organized or exhibited by any person at any place in the State of Meghalaya including through a telecommunication device, non-restricted geo fenced internet or instruments of gaming at a physical premises or any other mode without a License granted in accordance with the provisions of this Act and rules made thereunder. (2)Nothing in the Meghalaya Prevention of Gambling Act, 1970, shall apply to Games of Skill or Games of Chance Licensed under this Act. (3) Nothing in this Act shall apply to the game of Arrow Shooting called Teer being Regulated through Meghalaya Regulation of the Game of Arrow Shooting and the Sale of Teer Tickets Act, 2018 and lotteries regulated under the Meghalaya Lottery (Regulation) Rules, 2019.
