Recruitment and Training- (1) The qualifications, recruitment, appointment and training of the officers and staff of the Prisons and Correctional Services shall be such as may be prescribed under the rules. (2) Salaries and other benefits of officers and staff members may be commensurate with the work performed in a modern prison and correctional system, as may be prescribed under the rules. (3) Every member of the prison officers and staff shall be provided basic induction training and periodic in-service training to enable them to perform their duties efficiently and professionally.
