(1) This Act may be called the Meghalaya Nursing Homes (Licensing and Registration) Act, 1993. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Meghalaya. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. (4) It shall apply to all Nursing Homes other than Nursing Homes setup by the Central Government or the Government of any State.
