(1) Notwithstanding anything in section 4 of this Act, the Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer and Trustees, if any , of the Club, functioning as such immediately before the commencement of this Act, and any other person in custody of any books of accounts, registers, records, other documents or properties of and relating to the Club shall handover such custody to the Officers of the Government appointed under sub-section (1) of Section 5, within a period of one week from the date of his appointment or within such further time as may be granted by the Government in this behalf. (2) If any person, without any reasonable excuse knowingly and wilfully makes default in complying with the requirements of the preceding sub-section, he shall be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to six months or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both.
