In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires:- (a) “Act” means the Legislative Assembly of Meghalaya (Members Family Pension) Act, 2002; (b) “Family means” (i) Wife in the case of a male member. (ii) Husband in the case of a Female member. (iii) Minor sons including Steps sons and adopted sons of the member. (iv)Unmarried minor daughters including Step daughters and adopted daughters of the member. (c) “Family Pension” means family pension admissible under section 3; (d) “Member” means a member of the Legislative Assembly who is in receipt of or entitled to pension under the Legislative Assembly of Meghalaya (Member’s Pension) Act, 1977;
