(1) This Act may be called the Meghalaya Land Survey and Records-Preparation Act, 1980. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Meghalaya. (3) It shall come into force in such areas of the State and on such dates as the Government may by notification specify and different dates may be specified for different areas.
