(1) This Act may be called the Meghalaya Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management Act, 2006. (2) It shall be operative in the whole of Meghalaya. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint on this behalf.
