(1) The departments, responsible for the implementation of the developmental programmes and public services as listed in Schedule I of this Act, shall identify an officer not below the rank of Director as the State Nodal Officer for the purposes of this Act at the State level. (2) The departments will identify an officer not below the rank of the District head as the District Nodal Officer for implementation of this Act at the District level. (3) The departments will identify an officer not below the rank of the Block level Officer as the Nodal Officer for implementation of this Act at the Block level.
