(1) There shall be constituted by the State Government by notification the Official Gazette a Board to be called the Meghalaya Commercial Crops Development Board from such data as may be specified in the notification. (2) The Board shall be a body corporate having perpetual succession and a common seal with powers to acquire, hold, mortgage and dispose of property and to enter into contract and may by the said name sue and be sued.
