(1) A special Meeting of the General Assembly shall be called- (a) at the instance of the Board of Directors or Administrative Council or if there be no Administrative Council at the instance of the Managing Body; (b) at the request of the Chairman of the co-operative society; provided if such request is in the interest of the co-operative society; (c) on a requisition signed by one-tenth of the members of the General Assembly or twenty members, whichever is less; or (d)at the instance of the Registrar. (2) The Registrar himself or any person authorized by him on his behalf, in writing may, by special order call a special meeting of the General Assembly at any time and shall call such a meeting upon the failure of the society to call a meeting on requisition by the members or at the instance of the Registrar under sub-section (1) of this section. (3) Notwithstanding any rule or bye-law prescribing the method of summoning or the period of notice for a General Assembly, the Registrar or any person authorized by him on his behalf may specify the time, place, business for the meeting and the manner of convening such meeting.
