(1) The State Government may raise and maintain a force to be called the Meghalaya Civil Task Force, which shall consist of such number of members as the State Government may direct from time to time. (2) The Force shall, for the purpose of this Act, be deemed to be a single force, and the members thereof shall be appointed in the manner as may be prescribed.
