(1) The Board shall exercise all the powers conferred on and perform the functions and duties assigned to it by or under this Act. (2) It shall exercise superintendence and control over the Market Committees in the manner prescribed and may call for any information, or returns relating to notified agricultural produce from any Market Committee and shall have the power to inspect the records of any Market Committee and shall have the power to inspect the records of any Market Committee or such functionaries under or in relation to such Market Committee as the case may be. (3) Notwithstanding anything contained in subsections (1) and (2) the State Government shall also have powers of superintendence and control over the Market Committees or other Functionaries under or in relation to such Market Committees.
