(1) The State Government may, on the request of the board or a Market Committee, acquire land required for the purpose of this act under the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (Act I 1894). (2) The Board Market Committee shall be deemed to be a local authority for the purpose of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (Act I of 1894).
