If a servant of . the State Transport 'Undertaking or apparent referred to in section 3, whose duty is to supply a ticket to a person who travels or intends to travel _in a motor vehicle comprised, in road transport serviCe carried by the State Transport Undertaking on payment of fare by him, negligently or wilfully omits to supply a ticket or supplies an invalid ticket, he shall be punishablecwithv im- prisonment which may extend to one month or with fine which may extend to two hundred and fifty rupees or with both. ,
